Why this tool exists

Turn good intentions into confident hockey habits.

The tracker gives families a clear weekly plan for quality repetitions, puck skills, positioning, and goalie work—then celebrates consistency without making development feel like homework.

The weekly rhythm

Learn. Rep. Log. Celebrate.

Short blocks families can schedule
Visible progress for parents and coaches
Badges that reward effort and consistency

What players do

A simple plan built around useful reps

100 shots

Four sets of 25 build repeatable shooting mechanics. Optional +50 blocks reward extra work.

30 minutes of hands

Three 10-minute stickhandling blocks make consistent puck touches easier to fit into family schedules.

Hockey IQ

Coach-selected positioning videos help players recognize where to go, what to scan, and what may happen next.

Goalie development

Goalie and hybrid plans add crease movement, reaction, hand-eye, and weekly goalie instruction.

How Hockey IQ grows

Watching a short positioning lesson gives players a picture to recognize before they see it in a game. Repetition then helps them connect that picture to faster choices: supporting the puck, finding space, defending the middle, and anticipating the next play.

1

Watch

See the positioning idea away from game pressure.

2

Notice

Look for the same cue during practice and games.

3

Repeat

Build comfort through short, consistent skill blocks.

4

Compete

Use the habit with more confidence and speed.

Motivation without pressure

Players earn fun badges for milestones such as their first activity, 100 shots, quick hands, Hockey IQ, goalie reaction work, full weeks, and streaks. The focus is effort, consistency, confidence, and team momentum—not public comparison between children.

Parent-managed and privacy-minded

  • Parents own and manage player accounts; coaches have separate visibility.
  • Real player profiles use first names only.
  • No player filming or player-uploaded photos and videos.
  • No private coach-to-player messaging.

The public sample is view only, uses no team data, and shows how a parent sees weekly work, videos, progress, and badges.
